‘Stranger Things: The Game’ Lets You Solve Mysteries as Your Favorite ‘Stranger Things’ Characters

The new app now available for download on iOS and Android throws us back to the 8-bit fun of our favorite childhood video games.

Stranger Things returns for the second season this October 27, and if you’ve already watched and rewatched the first season of the show and don’t know what else to do during the three-week waiting time, here’s a treat — you can join Hopper and the kids on new adventures by downloading this new app:

That’s right, Stranger Things: The Game is a thing and is now available for download in the App Store or Google Play.

The action-adventure game, in all its 8-bit glory, takes you back to 1984 Hawkins, letting you explore some of the locations from the show – like Mirkwood Forest and Hawkins Lab – where you fight villains and solve mysteries. You start with Jim Hopper’s character, going around Hawkins Lab, but you eventually get to level up and unlock more characters armed with different skills. Hopper is into fist fighting, Lucas gets to battle by firing his trusty Wrist Rocket, and Nancy is into some serious bat-swinging!

Stranger Things: The Game

If its 80s aesthetic and gameplay is still not enough for you to drop everything and download this game, Netflix also hinted that players also may unlock secret characters and exclusive footages from the show’s second season. We can’t wait to know more about the next season so brb, need to finish this game, stat.

Stranger Things: The Game is available for download here (for iOS) and here (for Android) for free. The second season launches on Netflix on October 27, 2017. For more information on the show, you  may visit Stranger Things’ official Netflix page
