Ms. Lea Salonga just held an exclusive media conference earlier today to announce her milestone 40th Anniversary Concert happening this October — which already sold out for both nights!
The Broadway legend had a special treat for the press by performing for the very first time, her slow and soulful rendition of A-ha's 80s classic, 'Take On Me.' This song was a special request, and is not included in the lineup of performances for her anniversary concert, so this was a very special experience for the media this afternooon. For the upcoming two-night concert, the audiences can expect a glimpse of the significant breakout role that marked her place on the world map as Kim in Miss Saigon, both in the West End and on Broadway. 'Lea Salonga: The 40th Anniversary Concert' happens for two nights this coming October 19 and 20 at the PICC Plenary Hall. The show is directed by Bobby Garcia, with musical direction by Gerard Salonga, snd featuring the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra. #LS40
