This is a great movie in the genre of war movies. It traces the Battle of Midway to its roots in the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor which decimated the U.S. Naval Pacific Fleet before WWII. It also chronicles the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. The whole ambience of the movie is a no-nonsense retelling of these events with a superb cast and attention to minute detail. For those of you who are military history buffs, this is the movie for you. As an added extra, the aerial fight scenes are magnificent.
