I thought the cinematography was beautiful. Some shots were almost poetic and weren't brought to justice by the mediocre camera they used, which is a bit of a shame. In terms of the story, I'm sorry but I didn't get it. Regardless of it being this coming-of-age LGBTQ story, I thought there were just too many plot holes that didn't aways make sense. The story's main climax is probably the biggest one. What exactly happened? It was never made clear. It's the same for the motives behind some of the characters' choices and actions. Why include this scene, or go in this direction, when it didn't really seem relevant to the story. The acting was pretty good however, and held a lot of promise. Sometimes it may seem a bit commonplace, but pretty good overall. The R-18 rating is a bit confusing. It was nowhere near sexually explicit enough to warrant such a rating, and the scenes were not graphic at all, but it can seem like it might be suggestive to impressionable 13-year olds, and I guess we don't really have PG 16 or NC 17.
