It's hard not to compare it to Makoto Shinkai's previous masterpiece--"Your Name" (my favorite all-time Japanese movie). Almost everything felt similar--Radwimp's soundtrack, the stunning visuals and attention to detail was topnotch. Only the love story was just not as intense and emotionally impacting like Taki and Mitsuha's. The movie delivers a strong message to everyone regarding worsening global warming as it's a shock how Japan's capital depressingly ended in the movie. I believe I could've enjoyed this more had I not re-watched Kimi No Nawa just recently. Loved the surprise cameos, though. Hahah!
