Love You to the Stars and Back (2017)

A girl named Mika decides to go on a road trip to look for aliens. During her trip, she accidentally bumps into Caloy whom she gives a free ride to until he reaches his destination. Mika then finds out that Caloy has cancer but despite it, he has learned to accept his fate. Both embark on a journey filled with adventures and misadventures not knowing they would fall in love with each other along the way.

    Joshua Garcia and Julia Baretto has clearly matured in terms of acting in this movie by more than 100% coming from their latest MMFF blockbuster, Vince & Kath & James. Not really a JoshLia fan but with the acting prowess they've shown, can't wait for their next acting gig together. They can surely match the power of the other more known loveteams of their generation.

    Bagay na bagay si Caloy at Mika. Dalawa kasi silang napaka OA. Siguro kung bata ka magugustuhan mo itong palabas. Pero kung may edad na tulad ko, nakakainis lang. Pag labas ko ng sine ang init tuloy ng ulo ko at nasigawan ko pa anak ko sa banas sa palabas. Oo, may nakakaiyak na parte, tulad ng scene sa labas ng bahay ng tatay ni Caloy. Pero pagkatapos doon, nagpaka OA nanaman siya at nainis nanaman ako. Akala ko tulad ito ng Kita kita, which had restraint and an engaging story. Pero hindi. Wala ditong restraint na kahit papaano. Puro kacornihan lang. Hindi ko nagustohan.
