The first trailer for Don’t Breathe 2 is finally here and this time, the dangerous blind man becomes a savior of sorts trying to rescue a little girl from her kidnappers.
“The sequel is set in the years following the initial deadly home invasion, where Norman Nordstrom lives in quiet solace until his past sins catch up to him,” teased the film’s initial plot. Watch the official trailer below:
In the first Don’t Breathe film, the blind man Norman Nordstrom served as the antagonist when he traps three robbers inside his house and tries to mercilessly wipe them out. Despite being blind, Nordstrom proved that his disability cannot stop him from taking down the people who are threatening him, and the dark secret he had been keeping in the first film.
But the villain is seemingly the hero of the sequel. In the trailer, a young girl under his care is kidnapped by dangerous men who might know some things about the blind man’s past. As one of the kidnappers tells the girl while she’s hiding with Nordstrom: “It’s not me you need to be scared of, little girl, but the man standing next to you. Now I don’t know who he is, but I know who he’s not. Should I tell her or you?”
Stephen Lang reprises his role as Norman Nordstrom, and he is joined by actors Brendan Sexton III and Madelyn Grace. Rodo Sayagues serves as the director who also co-wrote the script with Fede Alvarez. Don’t Breathe 2 is coming to US theaters this August 13.
