After dropping a photo of Leto as the Joker, the film also inserted a familiar meme in the trailer that garnered delighted reactions. Joker saying “We live in a society…” has been petitioned for Joaquin Phoenix’s solo Joker film and garnered 58,000 signatures at Change.org. But while the line didn’t make it to the film, Snyder’s Cut delivers to the fans what they want and made the meme part of the canon.

After all, the upcoming 4-hour Justice League film became a reality thanks to the fans who called for the release of the Snyder’s cut of the 2017 film. The film was originally helmed by Snyder, but director Joss Whedon took over after the former faced a family tragedy. Since then, fans have been rooting for a rerelease of the film with Snyder in full control of its final outcome.
The film will feature Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, and Ezra Miller reprising their roles. The film will start streaming on HBO Max this March 18.
