Lee Seung Gi and Jasper Liu in Nepal for Twogether

‘Twogether’ Fuses Traveling and Fan Service in One Travel Show

THE STORY:

Twogether is a South Korean travel variety show featuring 2 actors from 2 completely different cultures who travel to 6 Asian cities to meet their fans. It brings together South Korea’s famous all-around star Lee Seung Gi (Vagabond, All the Butlers) and Taiwan’s heartthrob Jasper Liu (Before We Get Married, Triad Princess) as they fulfill missions that would bring them one step closer to finding their fan.

WATCH THIS IF YOU:

Are big fans of Lee Seung Gi and Jasper Liu, of course! The show also comes from Company Sangsang, so if you’ve enjoyed the company’s other shows like Running Man and Busted!, then you should definitely give Twogether a watch.

WHAT I THINK:

What I love about Twogether is how it’s able to have two celebrities from different cultures work together and overcome the awkwardness of first meetings, language barriers, and the lack of money for the sake of meeting their fans. As the show progresses, the two are both able to improve their relationship and form their bromance late on.

As expected from the company who gave us Running Man, the missions for Twogether – set in specific spots in Indonesia, Nepal, and Thailand – are all fun and thrilling, bringing out the competitive and scheming side of the K-variety veteran Seung Gi and the newbie Jasper. In the end, these missions lead them to their fans who curated the itinerary especially for them. And while the meetings were brief and short, the moments when the two stars interact with the fans are heartwarming and are definitely #FangirlGoals!

For someone who’s been stuck in quarantine for about 4 months now, Twogether provides that much-needed distraction for a while. It also fills the gap that we’ve all had since we all can’t and won’t be able to travel for the next couple of months.
