‘The Lion King’s Official Soundtrack Includes New Original From Elton John

Elton John and Tim Rice, the original songwriters for the classic 1994 film return for a new song in Jon Favreau's remake.

Jon Favreu's photo-realistic remake of The Lion King is one of the most-anticipated Disney films to hit theaters this year and as expected, viewers will also get a remake of their favorite Lion King songs!

The official soundtrack for this year's film has finally been revealed, and it features the well-loved songs from our childhood revived by an impressive roster of singers including the likes of Beyonce, Donald Glover, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

More so, Elton John and Tim Rice, the pair behind the songs of the classic Lion King have come up with a new original song to be added to the 2019 remake. Titled "Never Too Late", the new song is expected to play as the film's end credits roll.

The soundtrack features the original songs by John and Rice in new recordings by various artists, with a score by Hans Zimmer and African vocal and choir arrangements by Lebo M.

Pharrell Williams also produced five songs on the soundtrack that include "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."

The digital soundtrack is set for a July 11 release while the physical album will be released on July 19, the same day that the film hits theaters.
