WATCH: A Bubble Bath Jump Scare in ‘The Grudge’ Clip

John Cho experiences the horrors of 'The Grudge' first-hand in this new clip!

The Japanese horror franchise of The Grudge is returning this 2020 through Nicolas Pesce's follow up film to the American remake of Ju-On back in 2004.

As was earlier revealed by PesceThe Grudge will be telling three interwoven tales that are all tied to a house that had been cursed or grudged. In a short clip released by Sony Pictures Entertainment, we can see the star John Cho being haunted by this sinister force. Check out the video below:

The Grudge franchise is part of the Japanese Ju-On franchise created by Takashi Shimizu. Its mythology revolves around a grudge that becomes too powerful it begets a curse which can kill people. Starting off as two short films in 1998, the franchise branched out to multiple films, even facing its curse against the famed Sadako of The Ring franchise. Next year, The Grudge will be shown in theaters promising new characters and stories.

Alongside John Cho are stars Demián Bichir, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye, Jacki Weaver and Andrea Riseborough. The film is set for release in local theaters on January 15, 2020. For more information, check out the film's website and social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
