Universal Pictures International (PH) prepares to unleash the terror of the acclaimed horror game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” will open in cinemas nationwide on November 1, just in time for a spine-tingling Halloween cinematic treat. Blumhouse, renowned for its mastery in horror with blockbusters like M3gan, The Black Phone, and Invisible Man, brings this iconic game to life. Directed by the talented Emma Tammi, the film boasts an impressive cast lineup including Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Kat Conner Sterling, and Piper Rubio, further enriched by performances from Mary Stuart Masterson and Matthew Lillard. The hauntingly realistic animatronics springing forth from the game are brought to life by none other than the legendary Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Meet Freddy: Horror’s New Poster Child

This Halloween, Freddy and the gang are dying to meet you at the cinemas – the terrifying horror game phenomenon jumps on the big screen that follows a troubled security guard, played by Hutcherson, Mike (Josh Hutcherson; Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise) a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio; Holly & Ivy, Unstable), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before.

Now, facing personal and professional challenges, and desperate to provide for his young sister Abby (played by Piper Rubio), Mike finds himself accepting a seemingly mundane job as a night security guard. Little does he know, his new workplace, the desolate Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, hides more than just old pizza crusts.

Freddy’s Dark Secrets

Out of work and with responsibilities mounting, desperation drives Mike to accept a night security job at an eerie, abandoned restaurant – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. What could possibly go wrong? As it turns out, quite a lot. The maze-like corridors of Freddy’s hide dark secrets, and Mike soon realizes he’s not alone. With Vanessa, a local police officer (portrayed by Elizabeth Lail), Mike’s nocturnal shifts spiral into a haunting escapade, peppered with supernatural phenomena and soul-chilling discoveries.
