Taking place in the fictional American desert town circa 1955, the movie revolves around the Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention where the organizers, students, and parents across the country who are taking part in the convention are suddenly dragged into the center of world-changing events.
The film has a star-studded cast that includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, and Hong Chau. Completing the lineup are Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Willem Dafoe, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston, Ed Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Matt Dillon, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, Grace Edwards, Aristou Meehan, Sophia Lillis, Ethan Lee, Jeff Goldblum, and Rita Wilson.
Asteroid City is coming to US cinemas this June 16.
