The Bride tells the story of a small town girl named Nastya. Newly married, her husband Ivan drives her to his hometown to meet his family. Upon their arrival Nastya feels she made a wrong decision: surrounded by uncanny people and eerie photos all around the house.
Soon, Ivan disappears while his family prepares Nastya for a mysterious traditional Russian wedding ceremony. She struggles to calm herself down hoping all of this will end and that they will live happily ever after. Only if she can stay alive …
“The Bride” was written and directed by Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy, a Russian filmmaker whose previous credits include last year’s inventively-titled Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite. It stars Vyacheslav Chepurchenko, Aleksandra Rebenok and Igo Khripunov.
There’s currently US release dates for the new film and it is bound to creep over in the 7,107 islands of the Philippines on the 10th of May this year. The Bride is exclusively distributed by Solar Pictures.
