Julia Barretto and Carlo Aquino are slated to team up in an upcoming film titled Expensive Candy.
For this film, Barretto reunites with director Jason Paul Laxamana, who directed her 2019 movie with Gerald Anderson, Between Maybes. Meanwhile, Carlo Aquino is also known for romantic flicks such as Isa Pa With Feelings, Meet Me in St. Gallen, and Exes Baggage.
Laxamana confirmed the new project under Viva Films on Instagram with a photo of Barretto and Aquino in character for the movie. Check it out below:
“Can’t friggin wait to do this film with these two talented actors,” captioned Laxamana, tagging his two main stars and adding the hashtag #ExpensiveCandy. While the official synopsis has not yet been revealed, Barretto is seemingly taking a daring mature role for this title.
