Robert Downey Jr. is Dolittle! A film based on Dr. Hugh Lofting's iconic character is coming to the big screen in January 2020! This was announced last night, after they dropped the official trailer to the film.

The film centers on the eccentric veterinarian Dr. John Dolittle who, after losing his wife, becomes a hermit behind the walls of Dolittle Manor with his menagerie of exotic animals. However, when the young queen falls ill, he is forced to go on a quest to a mythical island to look for the cure alongside his apprentice and his animal friends.
Dolittle comes from the producers of Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent, and is directed by Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Traffic). The film will be featuring a star-studded cast which includes Robert Downey Jr., Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, Marion Cotillard, Tom Holland, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, and more.
