The lawyer is Rob Bilott, a corporate defense attorney for eight years. After an ugly truth starts to reveal itself, he makes it his task to expose a decades-long chemical pollution which harms not only the environment, but is also a threat to every living thing in the community. As evidence points to the influential DuPont chemical company, Rob risks everything including his future, his family, and his own life, in order to serve them justice.
Dark Waters is directed by Tom Haynes and it stars Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper, and Bill Pullman. It is set for release on November 22.
