Warning: Avengers Endgame spoilers ahead!

“I am Iron Man.”

The hero who had started off the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise had suffered a tragic conclusion in Avengers: Endgame, and probably no MCU fan hadn’t shed a tear.

But to break your hearts all over again, a deleted scene from the film surfaced on Twitter through USA TODAY Life, and it features a salute by the Avengers to their fallen comrade.

Watch it here:

As seen above, the members of the extended superhero team knelt down in respect of Tony Stark’s death. This scene was revealed to have been cut because of its redundancy in the film.

“It’s a beautiful scene with moving performances, but we filmed it prior to Tony Stark’s funeral,” directors Joe and Anthony Russo told USA Today. “The funeral scene ultimately became a more resonant and emotional reflection on Tony’s death for us.”

Another thing worth noting in this cut is Gamora, who, instead of taking part in the gesture, exited the scene. It is understandable knowing that this Gamora didn’t even took part in the events of Guardians of the Galaxy, as she has been from 2014 and was part of the army of Thanos who did time travel in Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and more. The film will be available on Digital HD this July 30, and on Blu-ray on August 13.
