New Movies This Week: Suburbicon, Coco and more!

Suburbicon 

Directed by George Clooney, the film follows a mild-mannered father who must face his demons after a home invasion shakes his quaint neighborhood in 1959. It stars Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, and Oscar Isaac.


 

Coco 

Directed by Unkrich, and co-directed and co-written by Adrian Molina, the film is based on the Mexican holiday of Día de Muertos. The film follows Miguel, a 12-year-old boy who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery, leading to an extraordinary family reunion. It features the voices of Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, Renée Victor, Ana Ofelia Murguia and more.


 

The Snowman 

Directed by Tomas Alfredson, it is based on the novel of the same name by Jo Nesbø. A detective tries to find the identity of a killer who uses snowmen as his calling card. It stars Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, J. K. Simmons, and Chloë Sevigny


 

Breathe 

Directed by Andy Serkis, it is a true story based on Robin and Diana Candish, an adventurous couple who refuse to give up in the face of a devastating disease. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Hugh Bonneville, Tom Hollander, Ed Speleers and Dean-Charles Chapman.


 

Midnight Runners 

Directed by Kim Joo-hwan, it tells the story of two best friends who are students at the Korean National Police University. They accidentally witness a kidnapping and decide to work together to track it down. It stars Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul.
