Just like every other year, Sebastian’s Ice Cream offers a great selection of Christmas flavors. This year, they brought back new and improved favorites — Puto Bumbong, Bibingka Espesyal, and Noche Buena Fruit Salad. It is available in Podium at P135/scoop or via the website at P405/pint.
Ice Cream Cakes
They have also rolled out their newest and most premium item in their collection — Ice Cream Cakes. It is a combination of freshly-baked cake with and newly-churned ice cream. I love how slicing through it is easy yet everything doesn’t fall apart. “It took a lot of work from finding the right cake recipe that would give us the texture we wanted while frozen, to figuring out the perfect ice cream to cake ratio; to designing the look
and visual impact for the cake,” shares Ian Carandang.
They have three flavors available — Birthday Cake, a vanilla cake layered with Cake Batter Ice Cream, topped with a pink white chocolate drizzle, cake batter pastillas, and rainbow sprinkles; Pastillas de Leche, their take on Tres Leches where they soak the vanilla cake in a mixture of milk, condensed milk, and dayap zest, and layer it with Pastillas de Leche ice cream; and Dark Chocolate Decadence, a chocolate cake layered with almond praline and dark chocolate ice cream filled with pretzels, potato chips, and caramel popcorn. The 9-inch ice cream cakes are priced at P1,650 and exclusively available on their website for pick up or delivery.
Chilly Burgers
Sebastian’s Ice Cream has also given their Chilly Burgers an upgrade. Chocolate crinkles being a Pinoy Christmas staple, they have developed their own crinkle cookies that stay soft and fudgy even when frozen. Choose among this year’s flavors: White Chocolate, Muscovado, and Peppermint. Each Chilly Burger is priced at P140.
