Take extra fudgy, soft crinkles and coat it with that signature orange-tinged butternut, and you get Butternut Crinkles — a delicious dessert that will win hearts of chocolate lovers in Manila.
Sink your teeth into Chef Rankin‘s delicious, doughnut-inspired spin on the classic crinkles! Yes folks, this is the cookie version of a munchkin flavor everyone absolutely loves. This time around, Chef Kin bakes his crinkles, already so well loved for its soft and fudgy, brownie-like texture, and ups the ante. The cookie base is already excellent, but then we get more interesting textures and flavors thanks to the butternut.
The crinkles are undressed from its usual powdery-white confectioner’s sugar exterior, and get a butternut upgrade. The coating is a combination of desiccated coconut, sugar, orange food coloring, and butter. It gives every soft cookie an added texture; a delicate crispness with wisps of nutty and sweet.
If you eat it straight away once it’s been delivered to you, it’s warm and heavenly. The soft pieces break off easily with every bite. But if you store it in the fridge for a few hours (overnight, if your extra patient), you’ll discover something extra delicious. It tastes even better chilled!
One box has ten pieces of this gooey, supermoist cookie all wrapped up in our favorite butternut flavor. It’s also available for delivery four days in a week. What more can you ask for?
