The Butcher Shop & Pub recently opened in BGC, adding yet another gastronomic option in the Fort area for those seeking a new food and drink destination. This new gastropub is located at ground floor of Wumaco Building, at the corner of 9th Ave and Lane P in Bonifacio High Street. Just look for the building where Agave and 2nd's is located.

The Butcher Shop & Pub is where you can have breakfast fare, hearty lunch, and a make-your-own-steak adventure for dinner. They also offer cocktails and drinks for your nightcap at the Longford Bar, their libations section featuring craft beers, wine, and spirits. Some bar bites to pair your drink with include a Cheese Selection (P275), Loaded Kamote Chips (P120), Dumaguete Sisig (P250), and Fillet of Fish Goujons (P196). The Butcher Shop & Pub also sells products ready for take-away.

If you want to try out the restaurant in the morning, their breakfast menu is served from 10am to 2pm, and you can choose among four hearty dishes. The BS Breakfast (P290) features local artisan cheeses, farmers pate, sausage of the day, scrambled eggs, toast and jam, while their Smoked Hash (P250) is smoked corned beef with chunky potato, onions, and peppers served with two sunny side up eggs. If you want breakfast sweet, order the Thick Cut Baileys French Toast (P280) which uses brioche; their French toast has baileys cinnamon batter, peanut butter whipped syrup, candied walnuts, and powdered sugar. Fans of the classic pork and beans combo should definitely try this breakfast item: The Best F^#%ing Pork & Beans Ever (P350). Just the name itself will pull in pork and beans fans, so order this plate of pork chop, steamed rice, sunny side up egg, and baked beans (and do let us know if it is, indeed, the 'best f^#%ing pork & beans ever').

One thing that sets apart this gastropub among nearby watering holes in BGC is their selection of meats, the market price of the cuts written on a big blackboard. Steak lovers can choose among what is available at the moment, then have the meats grilled to your liking. You also have the choice on the kind of cut and the weight (in grams). Their Make Your Own Steak menu is available during dinner time–build your own meal by choosing your protein, rubs, and brush-ons. Add ons like pastas and salads are available, and you can add some Sides like mashed potatoes and fries for P70 each.
