We've tried almost all the restaurants to give you this in-depth look at the must-try dishes at these ten establishments that are a mix of both old and new names in the food scene. Here's a rundown of all the restaurants you'd want to check out when you visit this emerging community in Ortigas:

Love sinking your teeth into mouthwatering sandwiches and comfort food favorites? This restaurant offers an artisanal take on the classic comfort food like sandwiches, pasta and more! Oh, and did we say they put a local spin on the classic beignets and they're the bomb?! The Queso de Bola Beignets (P199) are served warm and dusted with powdered sugar. Munch on these as a starter or dessert, we're not going to judge!
Asakusa: Home of Tempura

Everyone loves Japanese food! Start off your meal at this Japanese restaurant with an order of the Spicy Tuna Salad (P198) and the Chicken Karaage (P288) while waiting for what they're best for. Specializing in crispy tempura made affordable, the Emperor Set (P578) that's good for sharing has 2 black tiger prawns, scallop, shiitake mushroom, kani, fish, zucchini and french beans. They also have a Make Your Own Tempura if you want your meal to be more customized to your liking!
Backyard Kitchen + Brew

Known for their farm to table dishes, paying Backyard a visit means munching on their best-sellers – Salted Egg Chicken Skin (P225) served with chili pineapple vinegar on the side and their huge serving of Mac & Cheese Nachos (P485), has mac & cheese, bacon, homemade longanisa, jalapeño, sour cream, pico de gallo, housemade guacamole and drizzled with more cheese sauce. They also have an interesting lineup of flat breads: Salted Egg Chicken Skin, Duck Flakes & Sriracha, Longganisa & Peppers, 4 Cheese & Truffle and Garlic Shrimp.
Burgerpub

A visit to Burgerpub wouldn't be right without trying any from their no fuss burger lineup especially their Pub Original (P345) which has a 170g burger patty made with 100% imported beef, slathered with their original sauce with caramelized onion and sharp cheddar cheese. Definitely a simple burger yet packed with flavor!
Hanamaruken Ramen

Being in the metro since 2014, Hanamaruken Ramen still boasts of the same best-seller, the Signature Happiness Ramen (P480). It is a bowl of ramen with slow-braised custom cut soft bone pork rib in a shoyu tonkotsu broth. Order an Aji Tamago (P50) on the side to complete your meal!

If you're looking for some authentic Indian cuisine, you've come to the right place. Order the classic Samosa that's available in Veg (P40/solo; P115/plate of 3) or Non-Veg (P50/solo; P145/plate of 3) and douse it with their housemade tamarind chutney. Butter Chicken (P265) is one of their best-sellers and we now know why. It's a slightly sweet, tomato and cashew based mildly spiced curry with chunks of tender chicken. Make sure you wipe your plate clean with some warm Naan (P40/2pcs)!
Pi Breakfast & Pies

Start your day with the amazing Big Breakfast Platter (P595) that's actually good for sharing! It has Hungarian, Italian & Pinoy Dinuguan Sausage, 2-pc sunny side up eggs, potato hash, slices of toasted brioche bread, roasted shiitake & button mushrooms, bacon strips, pork & beans and roasted tomatoes. If you want a smaller yet equally filling meal, order the Pork & Beans (P295) or the Caramelized Spam (P265) which are both our favorites. What's a visit without some pie, right? Here's a slice of S'mores (P145) to end yet an already wonderful meal!

What's an establishment without a Starbucks in sight? Since the Christmas breeze is already here, that means the annual Starbucks Christmas drinks are here again! Have a sip of two returning favorites – Peppermint Mocha and Toffee Nut – or try their newest drink called Santa Hat Dark Mocha!

Sunrise Buckets

Start off a visit with some Nachos Overload (P225) and their Brooklyn's Dog (P235) which is a frankfurter with jalapeño slices, fresh white onions, salsa and loaded with jalapeño cheese. Word of caution, all burgers are served on Brioche Buns brushed with melted butter. Now that's a sinful way to bite into their burgers like Remembering 9/11 (P395/5 toppings; P495/10 toppings; P595/15 toppings) is a large cut of chicken breast generously coated with Real American Buffalo Hot sauce where you can choose from five toppings to as many as fifteen toppings to squeeze on top of your patty! First-timers shouldn't miss out on the Sunrise Original which is your favorite wings in New York Buffalo Sauce that's bursting with spicy and tangy flavors.
The Gardens: Brunch Cafe and Social House

Who says brunch can't be eaten all day? They have a wide-range of brunch items like the vegetarian Açaí Breakfast Bowl (P220) which has blended superfood açai berries topped with fruits and superfood chia seeds, cacao nibs, organic coconut oil and desiccated coconut and their gluten-free Baked Egg Chorizo (P365) which is a skillet of oven-baked free-range egg with chorizo in caramelized tomato and red wine sauce, topped with melted mozzarella cheese. If you want something that's more filling order one of our favorites, the Gardens Brunch Pasta (P299) topped with 7-minute egg which you mix into the warm dish. While you're at it, sip on their Sangria Cooler (P240), handcrafted artisanal Italian red wine with fresh lemon, orange, rum and mints. They're also known for their cold-pressed juices (P1400 for 6 bottles) that are available in seven flavors and their Vital Shot (P80) which has turmeric, ginger, lemon and honey in one small and mighty bottle.
