The Bistro Group has just opened new branches of Italianni’s, Watami, and Modern Shanghai at the SM Mall of Asia, and you can order your favorites from this Bistro trio of restos in one go!
While the three restaurants have spaces of their own, each branch is connected to the other two, allowing for your orders from all three restos to reach your table, and all you have to do is to request for the other menus. Spoiling guests with choices, this strategic opening is perfect for your big celebrations this holiday season!
Italianni’s
Indulge in Italianni‘s famed Italian-American dishes in their new 100-seater branch facing the Seaside Boulevard. You can also opt for an al fresco dining experience if you want a breath of fresh air while enjoying your food.
Aside from their beloved staples, Italianni’s also rolled out new dishes such as the Honey Crisp Apple Salad (mixed greens, Kale, apple, feta cheese, honey mustard); Grilled Pear Salad (Mixed Greens grilled pears and a Honey balsamic); Braised Beef Osso Bucco Platter (braised low and slow in tomato and mirepox until fork tender); Braised Beef Osso Bucco Spaghetti; Halibut Al Cartoccio (oven-roasted with potatoes bell pepper, zucchini, olives, capers, eggplant and seafood broth) and Blueberry Mango Cheesecake (classic New York Cheesecake topped with blueberry and mango puree).
Watami
Just beside Italianni’s, Watami also warms palates with their lineup of Japanese food favorites. Chef Masaaki Ishikawa who has 30 years of culinary experience brings to Watami new dishes steeped in Japanese culture and history.
His new creations include the Atlantic Black Cod; Flame-grilled Beef Tenderloin with Wasabi Sesame Sauce; Smoked Duck Breast; Deep-Fried Japanese Oysters; Thinly-sliced Pork Hotpot with Tonkotsu Soup and Steamed Scallops and Wakame with Vinegary Miso Soup.
Of course, you can also enjoy Watami’s staple lineup of sushi, aburi, tempura, and ramen just to name a few. So if you plan to feast on delicious Japanese fare this season, Watami is definitely worth the visit!
Modern Shang
Completing the Bistro trio at the Mall of Asia is Modern Shang, which celebrates the holiday season with their Braised Pork Knuckle and Braised Pork Belly.
The rich and savory Braised Pork Knuckle features a mouthwatering pork knuckle with meat that’s melt-in-your-mouth tender, and a sweet and savory sauce that will really delight Filipino palates. Meanwhile, the Braised Pork Belly also delights with its tender meat, made more flavorful with spring onions, red yeast rice, and ginger.
To further complete your Chinese feast, add their other signature dishes such as the Xiao Long Bao, Steamed Hakaw Shrimp Dumpling, Roasted Crispy Pork, Wok-Fried Beef with Broccoli, Orange Chicken, Deep Fried Squid, and Birthday Noodles. You can also ring in the New Year with your loved ones at the Modern Shang as they’ll have a 2023 countdown, which you can join for only P750 per person, consumable on food and drinks.
Bulgogi Brothers
Aside from these restaurants, a new Bulgogi Brothers branch is also set to open this December 30 in close proximity to the other three! Hailing from South Korea, the concept has been serving authentic Korean cuisine in Manila since 2011, and continues to satisfy people’s cravings for bulgogi-marinated barbecue meats, stews, noodles, rice dishes, and an array of delicious side dishes.
This season, guests are recommended to try the resto’s new Seoul-Tide Season dishes that are meant for sharing, such as the Nami KBBQ Platter, Jeju Jokbal, Seoul style Bulgogi, Gangnam Grilled Mackerel, and Incheon Chicken.
