Visum Ventures, which was founded in 2019 just before the pandemic struck, is one of the fastest-growing key players in the local restaurant landscape. From bringing Koomi, the natural drinking yoghurt from Australia, to seven (7) brands in under 3 years, it certainly is a force to reckon with in the Philippine food and beverage landscape.

The company is launching a host of new and exciting concepts for Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. Undaunted by the recent crisis, Mike remains determined to grow the Visum Ventures Group brand portfolio.

New Executive Pastry Chef Partner
Award-winning pastry chef Miko Aspiras recently joined Visum Ventures as its new Executive Pastry Chef Partner, as announced by John-Michael ‘Mike’ Hilton, the company’s President and CEO.

Chef Miko will curate desserts for all Visum brands, as well as introduce new and exciting concepts.

Some of Chef Miko’s new dessert creations he shared during an intimate media night last September 27 at Salt and Ice Bar. Included his version of ‘banana-Q,’ with langka, mousse with banana financier and mille feuille. There were also the Black Forest with Auro Dark Chocolate Mousse, with cherries and dark chocolate; the delicate petit fours; Calamansi Cake with Auro White Chocolate Glaze, Vegemite Butterscotch with Auro Milk Chocolate Ganache and Auro Dark Chocolate Shell Pralines, and Sable cookie, sable Breton, coconut marshmallow,
and Dumaguete passion fruit pastille.

Salt and Ice Bar
Partnering with Chef Miko is just one of the many collaborations that Visum Ventures will launch in the coming months. Also in the drawing board are several new bar concepts, and plans to bring in foreign, award-winning chefs to open restaurants in the Philippines.

A media night was also held recently to introduce Salt and Ice, a fun, new place with a cool vibe in the metro, with world-class cocktails crafted by award-winning bartenders using top-shelf spirits, and a creative menu that celebrates the freshness of Aklan oysters flown-in every day, always fresh, never frozen

Salt represents the sea and their fresh oysters; Ice represents their amazing craft cocktails. Their bartenders create forward-looking, whimsical cocktails, each with their own stories, beautifully served and presented, the kind you look forward to after a long day.

Oysters are the star of the show in this bar that takes craft cocktails to an art form. Fresh-shucked, Oyster Tempura, Oyster Mornay, Oyster Spinach & Malunggay, Oyster Bacon and Cheese and Oyster Kilpatrick.

Amazing craft cocktails, meanwhile, include 36 th Street, Rogue Waves, Queen B, Aurora, She’s a Bliss, Eternal Rose, Nought Rusty and Kiss Kiss .
