8 Quarantine Cooking Lessons You Can Check Out Online

Recently, local and foreign chefs have been going on to different platforms to do cooking shows where their followers can learn simple recipes that they can also try out at home.

People have been doing a lot of different things to get themselves through this enhanced community quarantine. Some have been enjoying all the free books and films available online, some have been non-stop binge-watching, while some have been trying to make up for all the hobbies that were forgotten in the past couple of months (or years, maybe?). However, if a more interactive activity is something that you want to do and enjoy with people you're with at home, then an online cooking class is definitely something worth checking out!

Recently, chefs and foodies have been going on to different platforms to show what they've been cooking during this quarantine, as well as share these recipes with their followers. From upgrading your ordinary instant ramen to making a dish you've never tried before, here are some cooking videos to check out right now:

Posted by Edward Bugia on Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Looking for ways to upgrade instant Pancit Canton to a dish that you could also have for a good meal? Check out Ed Bugia's recipe from last night's Facebook Live! There, he made Pad Thai from ingredients that are available at home or are easy to buy outside. For this recipe, he used instant ramen, eggs, fish sauce, sugar, lime, peanuts, and (wait for it!) sinigang mix as a substitute for tamarind paste.

Frothy coffee isn't really a new discovery, but it's been all the rave on social media lately, as seen in this video by Ddulgi with over 3 million views. Dalgona Coffee – named after a Korean toffee sweet treat – went viral online when Koreans were advised to observe social distancing when COVID-19 cases began to rise. This drink is made with instant coffee, sugar, and water whisked 400 times (or until frothy), and served over milk.
