Slay the Buffet: Your Eat-All-You-Can Guide to The Pantry, Dusit Thani

Showing up to a buffet feast without a plan of attack is a terrible idea. Here's your eat-all-you-can guide (including what you must not miss!) when you indulge in Dusit Thani's The Pantry!

Boasting of a gustatory farm-to-fork fare, The Pantry at Dusit Thani only uses organic and locally sourced fair trade produce and ingredients that they use for the different cuisines ā — Indian, Italian, Filipino, Pan-Asian ā — that awaits their guests.

The Pantry has an impressive Sunday brunch buffet spread of local and international cuisine. From their live signature lechon pit, seafood market, Halal section and healthy salad bar to the new Thai pork knuckle cart, salmon sashimi and extensive dessert section, you'll be sure to leave the restaurant full and satisfied.

Showing up to a buffet feast without a plan of attack is a terrible idea. Here's your eat-all-you-can guide (including what you must not miss!) when you indulge in Dusit Thani's The Pantry!

Start Strong With Appetizers:

Begin your gastronomic adventure with a bang. Start off with the cold section which has fresh salmon sashimi and oysters. Work your way to their bread, charcuterie and cheese section which is one of the highlights in their brunch spread. They feature a number of French cheese every Sunday so make sure you check that out before anything else. If you opt for something light, the cold section also has a great selection of fresh salad where you can put whatever dressing you prefer.

Must Not Miss:

Forget about everything but make sure you don't skip on their Thai Pork Knuckle (Kao Ka Moo) that's passed around using a cart, which looks like the usual fare you'll find all over the streets of Thailand. You can now have the flavors of Thai street food at The Pantry! It's served with boiled eggs, pickled vegetables and the flavorful slow-braised pork leg. There's no other way to describe this but comforting!

I feel like it's not a proper brunch situation if there are no eggs on the table. At The Pantry, they have a section mainly for eggs and not the usual dishes, at that. Choose from Italian Sausage and Egg Bake, Huevos Rancheros, New Potato Skillet with Baked Eggs, Shakshouka with Poached Eggs, and so much more.

Spread Highlight:

Dusit Thani's The Pantry is the only hotel buffet restaurant in the metro which has an actual pit where they roast their lechon. Diners can actually take a peek at it while they slowly roast the pig which makes for a great experience. Moving on to the international section, they have a US Beef Ribeye Roast that's perfect for every meat lover there is. It's perfectly cooked ā with the meat being tender and oozing with its juice, and is packed with flavor.

What's a Sunday brunch without mimosas? At The Pantry, diners can have an adventurous drinking experience and enjoy the free flowing bar, craft beer, gin and tonic, wine, mimosa, bloody mary and fresh juices.

Recommended Desserts:

The Pantry could probably has the most picturesque dessert station we've ever seen. Choose from a slew of their local desserts, pastries, crêpes, churros, crème brûlée, and their ice cream (our favorites are the pistachio and salted caramel!). Tip: ask what their off-menu item is. On our visit, they were making fresh-off-the-oven lava cakes!

After you've conquered the dessert section, diners can be an artist every Sunday as The Pantry offers a painting session with the help of Sip and Gogh instructors. They will provide step-by-step instructions from sketching to color-mixing including techniques in applying proper brushstrokes.
