Flossom Kitchen + Cafe has brought its garden-themed restaurant in San Juan to the folks of Quezon City.
With a new location comes new dishes as well. Sure, Flossom still serves their best-sellers but they continue to impress us with their new lineup of comfort food that's a sure hit for everyone. Here are a few of our favorites:
Start off your meal with something refreshing. Order the fresh Garden Berries (P300) Salad which has strawberry slices, alfalfa sprouts, cherry tomatoes and grapes on top of crisp romaine lettuce, tossed in some fig-balsamic dressing. Do you like cheese as much as I do? They have a Burrata Caprese (P550) which highlights their homemade burrata sitting on some arugula, cherry tomatoes, strawberry and drizzled with a basil puree, balsamic reduction and olive oil.
What truly amazes me is how all the dishes on the menu are big servings which can actually be shared by two but are affordable. Take for example the new addition to the menu – Seafood Coconut Curry (P450) and the Porchetta Italliana (P420) – which both have hefty servings, are extremely flavorful and won't break the budget.
Flossom has also added new items on their pasta lineup. The flavorful Tapa Aglio Olio (P350) has marinated beef tapa, button mushroom, parmesan, garlic, olive oil, chili flakes tossed in al dente spaghetti. If you're one who prefers a creamy white sauce instead of a tomato-based one, order the Sriracha Seafood Truffle (P450) which has a generous serving of shrimp, scallops, tartuffata, parmesan and onions in a Sriracha cream sauce and rigatoni pasta.
Are you now craving for something sweet after those savory treats? End your meal by ordering the Tiramisu Pancake (P380) and sharing it with a friend. A serving has two fluffy pancakes and topped with a not-so-sweet tiramisu cream, espresso syrup, almond flakes and drizzled with espresso syrup and powdered sugar.
