Fat Fook Shows You 4 Ways to Eat Their Famous Spicy Beef Set

Looking for authentic Taiwanese food is a little bit tricky in the metro since it’s not the usual Chinese food we’re accustomed to. When Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen opened its doors early of 2017, it offered us the convenience of no longer flying all the way to Taiwan just to enjoy authentic Taiwanese eats. And when you find a good restaurant, you just know.

From interesting flavors of Xiao Long Bao to dishes you can share with the family, Fat Fook’s menu has evolved, and they are now offering set meals that are perfect when you want to indulge without breaking the bank. Dining alone? No problem! Choose from five of their newly rolled out set meals which you can enjoy: Beef Noodle Soup Set (P348), Porkchop Rice Set (P328), Porkchop Noodle Set (P328), Chicken Chop Rice Set (P298), and Chicken Chop Noodle Set (P298).

A serving of Beef Noodle Soup Set gives you four containers – don’t be overwhelmed since you’ll be using them all. One pot has the perfectly tender beef stew in a rich sauce that has a touch of sweetness to it, a bowl of hot noodle soup in clear broth, a cup of steamed rice and an empty bowl. You can opt to mix it all in until you reach your desired taste but Fat Fook suggests four steps on how you can have a taste of the delicious braised soup.

1. Put noodles in the empty bowl, add just the braised gravy and have a taste of the sweet and spicy sauce and the fresh hand-pulled noodles.

2. Gently pick up a piece of spicy beef from the pot and enjoy it with the freshly steamed white rice.

3. Scoop a spoonful of the clear soup, grab a piece of the tender spicy beef and eat it separately.

4. In an empty bowl, put some noodles and the clear soup and add 2 to 3 spoonful of the braised gravy until everything is mixed together. Make sure you adjust it according to your taste and see how it tastes like altogether!
