Side Show
August 31 (Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza)

Infused with a celebrated pop score, Side Show is a heart warming musical about  love, loss,, sisterhood, and what it truly means to be unique. It features a Book by Bill Russell and Music by Henry Krieger, who also composed the iconic hit musical DREAMGIRLS. Side Show was nominated for four Tony Awards including BEST MUSICAL.

SIDE SHOW is directed by Steven Conde, with choreography by Cecile Martinez, set design by Lawyn Cruz, lighting design by Jonjon Villareal, sound design by Jason Crystal, costume design by Odelon Simpao, hair and make up design by Johann dela Fuente, musical direction by Farley Asuncion and vocal direction by Manman Angsico.

Circulo Verde’s Food Truck Fair
August 31, September 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9 (Industria Circulo Verde)

Circulo Verde, premier property developer Ortigas & Company’s mixed-use estate in Quezon City, is launching its first ever weekend Food Truck Fair today, August 24, 2018. In partnership with the Philippine Mobile Food Truck Association, Circulo Verde is inviting friends and families to experience a myriad of gastronomic options in its growing and vibrant community.

The fair, which runs every Friday to Sunday from August 24 to September 9, 2018, will feature a varied line-up of local food truck staples that offer comfort food, international cuisine, and desserts. 

Live acoustic performances will accompany the festivities, with Circulo Verde tenants such as Kambal Pandesal Bakery + Café, Chill Top Rooftop Bar, Chef and Brewer, and The Cirque also taking part in the event.

The Food Truck Fair will run from 4pm to 11pm every Friday to Sunday beginning August 24, 2018 until September 9, 2018. Live performances begin at 8pm.

Word Wonder: A Book ++ Bazaar
August 31 to September 2 (Event Center, 5F Century City Mall)

Word Wonder: A Book ++ Bazaar is a get-together of some of the finest online booksellers in the country, including the likes of Bookends Bookshop Philippines, The READING ROOM, Porch Readers, Surprises Out of Boxes, and many more.

The organizers aim to get online sellers of books as well as art & craft entrepreneurs together to make their merchandise more available to the buying public. 

There will be over 10,000 books, magazines, comicbooks, coffee table books, travel & cookbooks, and so much more, both brand new and secondhand. Art & craft creations are also on display, all by local artists and entrepreneurs.

It’s the time of the year when we review our travel bucket list  and plan our holidays for the coming Holiday season ahead of us. Yes, the 29th Philippine Travel Mart is definitely on, as we approach the opening of the 29th PTM on 31 August this Friday. The  three- day event will run until 02 September 2018.

Our theme,  “New Paradise Found…. and the Fun Continues” is an offshoot of the rehabilitation of Boracay whom  we thought has been a "paradise lost". Announced to open before the end of this year, the PTM aims to showcase the newly  rehabilitated Boracay Island and  other newly discovered destinations here in the Philippines and ASEAN destinations. These destinations should be within the parameters of established good practices in terms of sustainable, inclusive and responsible tourism. In  line with the tourism advocacy of PHILTOA. 

Wanna One's One: The World in Manila
September 1 (Mall of Asia Arena)

Not a year since they held their first fanmeeting in Manila, Wanna One will be returning again on September 1! And this time, they will be performing for their Wannables at the Mall of Asia Arena!

The 11-member group, which was formed in 2017 through the survival program Produce 101 Season 2, is set to release their 3rd album on June 4, so fans can expect to hear their new songs, led by the title track "Light". 

Tickets are priced from P2000 to P12500 and will be onsale starting July 15 via SMTickets. The show is produced by PULP Live World.

September 1 (The Theatre at Solaire)

It will be the 70’s all over again on September 1, 2018, 8 pm at the Theater at Solaire Resort and Casino when Ronnie Henares and Jojit Paredes get together for a one-night rare reunion in “Twofus…Reunion of Friends.”

Joining in on the fun are long time friends of Ronnie and Jojit like music icons Jim Paredes and Boboy Garrovillo of the APO Hiking Society, funny lady Mitch Valdes, and the 70’s top dancing duo, the Aldeguer Sisters. “No stone is being left unturned to ensure we give the audience a fun-filled night of music, laughter and dance while celebrating long lasting friendship and the good old days,” says Ida R. Henares of Primeline Management & Production, Inc.

"Twofus…Reunion of Friends” gathered together the best production team that includes director and writer Floy Quintos, musical director Roy del Valle, art director Christian Henares, the team of Sisa Hernandez Kalson for production, Francis Libiran for the wardrobe, and the very best session back up singers and musicians.

Iconic 2.0 digs deep into the wealth of Ballet Manila’s homegrown talent, with gems such as Gerardo Francisco’s fantasy-filled Ibong Adarna, Osias Barroso’s lifelike Ecole, the late Ballet Manila co-founder Eric V. Cruz’s sensuous Carmen, and Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s timeless Fur Elise.

“Tour De Force” kicks off this September with “Iconic 1.0,” which will be on September 1 and 2, 2018, and “Iconic 2.0,” which will be on September 8 and 9, 2018. One ticket will be valid on both weekends.
