Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea is pleased to present MURMUR OF THE WIND, a solo exhibition by Nile Pobadora at Altro Mondo at The Picasso, (3rd Floor, Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences, 119 LP Leviste st., Salcedo Village, Makati City).
Nile Pobadora presents recent works with his signature imagery and technique. Producing acrylic paintings on paper, Pobadora explores the realms of the subconscious and man’s perceived realities. He depicts images that are familiar enough for the viewer to sympathize with yet too otherwordly in rendition that his works set themselves a good distance from the viewer’s reality.
Contemporary artist and writer Gwen Bautista wrote, “In this show, Pobadora presents us again with an alternative reality: one that cannot be captured by any device, thus, indicating a staggered part of ourselves; stuck and inside a dimension where we are allowed to tread freely and without hesitation.”
Nile Pobadora is a Filipino contemporary artist who has graduated from Far Eastern University with a degree in Advertising Arts. He consistently participates in group exhibitions around Metro Manila since 2005. Before formally exhibiting his work, he has been twice recognized as one of the finalists in Shell’s National Art Competition.
