For everyone who loves journals, sketchbooks, stickers, and other lovely stationary items, the perfect event for you is coming this October: the PaperCon PH 2019!
Prepare the papers in your wallets because this convention is bringing together local sellers of paper and stationary in Manila this October 5 at the Prosperity Hall in The Elements at Centris, Quezon City.
A lineup of workshops will also take place in the venue with the following artists to talk about the craft of journaling.
Abbey Sy talks about how to keep a travel journal in her Travel Journaling Workshop (1PM – 2PM), which will teach students the art tools that are ideal for documenting transit and the different styles to take the past, present, and future trips into your journal. Inclusive of the workshop is a journaling kit which includes a Travelers' Notebook, stickers, washi tape, and other materials for travel journaling.
Make the pages of your journal pop with cute little figures and characters! Join the Kawaii Journaling Workshop (2PM – 3PM)with Japan-based Filipina content creator Kaila Ocampo. Participants will also get a kawaii journal notebook and a Japanese stationery sampler kit.
Diane Ang's Introduction to Snail Mail (3PM – 4PM) will talk about how the snail mail has adapted in today's modern environment. It will tackle the basics of penpalling and postcrossing, and how snail mail has become a platform to share one's art, creativity, and culture. Inclusive of this workshop is a snail mail starter kit filled with postcards, postage stamps, cutouts, stickers, and other craft materials.
Participation for each workshop is priced P1,500 with a free ticket to the PaperCon PH. You may sign-up for the workshops through the PaperCon website's workshop page.
Tickets to the PaperCon PH 2019 are available on-site with the price of P100, while VIP tickets can be availed for P500 inclusive of a swag bag.
