Celebrate Museums and Galleries Month Through These CCP Activities!

October is the celebration of Museums and Galleries Month, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines proudly takes part with its prepared activities for the month which are all open to the public!

QRated: The CCP DIY Tour
Free admission

Set to launch on October 15 (12nn) at the Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco, QRated is a public guided tour that is easily accessible for everyone through the QR codes that are scattered around the CCP. The tour includes artworks, exhibition spaces and facilities, performance venues, architectural details, and other notable spots within the CCP building. The tour saves the public from availing priced tours that also require a certain number per group. With QRated, individuals can explore the rich content of CCP with just a phone in their hands.

Poster Printing Workshop with HOCUS
P2,500 inclusive of materials

Happening on October 17 (1PM to 4PM) at the CCP Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery), this 3-hour workshop will teach participants on how to make screenprinted posters, from making photographic stencils to the printing of paper. Also included in the lecture are information on how to source equipment and suppliers, and the preparation of the artwork and equipment.

Happening on October 18 (1PM to 4PM) at the Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery), this 3-hour workshop focuses on doing textile screenprints. It covers topics like the sourcing of materials and the right fabric, as well as techniques on how to successfully transfer your artwork to screen.

Arts Online featuring Karl Castro

For this month's Arts Online Lecture Series, the exhibit designer of Scenes Reclaimed Karl Castro will be featured on October 23 (2PM to 4PM) at the CCP Museo ng Kalinangang Pilipino (MKP) Hall. For more details, you can check out the CCP website page for Arts Online.

Ongoing exhibits

Visitors can also appreciate the ongoing exhibits inside the CCP building. These include Poster/ity: 50 years of Art and Culture at the Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery) and Pasilyo Guillermo Tolentino (3F Hallway Gallery) which is on display until December 8; Carillo Cart Project which runs until October 27 at the Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco (Little Theater Lobby); and Poklong Anading and Neil Fettling's Normal scheduling will resume shortly which is open until November 3 at the Bulwagang Fernando Amorsolo (Small Gallery), Pasilyo Victorio Edades (4F Hallway Gallery), and 4th Floor Atrium.
