Joker has just recently started to go in production! And though DC fans still have more than a year of waiting before it's slated to come out in cinemas, they are already treated with a sneak peek on what to expect from the titular character from the film's director himself, Todd Phillips.

Captioned, "Arthur", the photo shows Joaquin Phoenix' Arthur Fleck, make-up less and free from anything that would make him recognizable as the Joker, except from the green clothes that's a signature for his character.
Joker is a standalone film, separate from the DC Extended Universe. It's set in Gotham City in the 1980s, and will be the origin story of the famous DC character before he came to be Batman's nemesis, The Joker.
Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, joined by Zazie Beetz and Marc Maron. It's slated for release in October 2019.
