Before the much-anticipated addition to the franchise hits the cinemas this year, Netflix has just added to their streaming service the final installment to its anime trilogy, Godzilla: The Planet Eater.
“With the earth alliance weakened, Haruo weighs siding with the Exif, whose death cult is summoning a monster that can destroy the world,” says the synopsis of the film.
The Exif's summoned monster may be familiar to fans of the franchise for its famed creature from the same creators, King Ghidora, the three-headed space dragon. A conflict between the two monsters arises as it is up to Godzilla to defend its home planet before Ghidora devours everything.
If this film isn't enough for the fans' craving for more monster action, Japan's atomic beast will once again crash the cinemas this summer with the latest addition to the Monsterverse, Godzilla: King of Monsters. Directed by Michael Dougherty and produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, Bradley Whitford, among others.
The film is currently scheduled to hit Philippine cinemas on May 30, 2019 and will be followed by the film Godzilla vs. Kong scheduled for a 2020 release.
