The Cultural Center of the Philippines continues to adapt to this challenging time by holding its events online. And right before August ends, the CCP will be launching a new platform that would highlight contemporary dance– the CCP Choreographers’ Series.
The three-part platform will hold its first tier, WifiBody, from August 28 to 30. It will be a choreographers’ competition in the solo-duet form where 10 finalists must “explore the virtual body in the time of COVID-19.”
According to the CCP, they believe that “the intimacy and conciseness of these forms pushes choreographers to bare their choreographic vision.”
WifiBody will stream for free on August 28, 2PM (Set 1) and 4PM (Set 2); and the announcement of winners will be on August 30, 6PM. It will be available on theĀ CCP YouTube Channel, and on the Facebook pages of the CCP and the CCP Choreographers Series.
