Barely Lethal

Academy Award nominee Hailee Stanfield stars as a teen-ops agent in the action comedy “Barely Lethal” alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Alba and Sophie Turner.

Young and dangerous, Megan Walsh (Stanfield) belongs to a group of highly-trained and well-equipped assassins who are dispatched by a secret organization to assassinate high-value targets around the world who was trained by John Hardman (Jackson) at a very young age.

After being a deadly and effective assassin for most parts of her existence, Megan discovers what she's missing out on — a normal life. Desperate to try the life she missed, she fakes her own death and enrolls as a regular student in an American college. That was her way out of a life of blood and violence.

She survived the most rigorous trainings and the most dangerous missions, but can she survive the campus’ bullies and mean girls, crushes and heartbreaks, not to mention the sleepless nights of studying for final exam? School can be a killer too. Megan struggles to adjust to her new life, as she finds out that normal is not as easy as it seems. Looking for a prom dress that fits is just as hard as looking for her target back in assassin academy.

It was not long until, dangerous criminal Victoria Knox (Jessica Alba, Fantastic Four), Megan’s arch nemesis, discovers that she is still alive, impatient to annihilate Megan, Victoria dispatched a group of professional killers including her top lieutenant, Heather (Sophie Turner, Game of Thrones) to destroy her once and for all. This follows a series of events that will test her skills, brains and brawns and ends in an all out war between good and evil.

Barely Lethal” opens April 29 in cinemas from Pioneer Films.
