- Some popular song additions to all these hair-themed playlists include: āComplicatedā by Avril Lavigne, āSugar, We’re Goin Downā by Fall Out Boy, āThe Middleā By Jimmy Eat World, āHigh Hopesā by Panic! At The Disco, āStressed Outā by Twenty One Pilots, and āHair Cutterā by Animal Collective.
- Homeschool hysteria: It seems parents and students are turning to music to get through the challenges of homeschooling. Weāve seen a more than 1,000% increase in the creation of homeschool-themed playlists.
- Popular tracks added to these playlists include: āSupalonelyā by BENEE and Gus Dapperton, āSuckerā by Jonas Brothers, āCirclesā by Post Malone, and āDonāt Start Nowā by Dua Lipa.
- Itās not all work and no play, though; weāve seen a more than 1000% jump in playlists being created around Nintendoās popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a family-friendly life simulation video game thatās providing an escape.
- People are exploring their creativity:

- Listeners have been turning to podcasts to get the arts and crafts juices flowing; weāve seen a more than 125% increase in streaming of āJust Wanna Quiltā and a more than 60% increase in āWeCrochet.ā
- Working from Home is better with music: We’ve seen a more than 1,400% increase in working-from-home-themed playlists created between April 17-May 17 (compared to the first ten days in March).

- Popular songs added include: āSunday Bestā by Surfaces, āBanana Pancakesā by Jack Johnson, āWatermelon Sugarā by Harry Styles, āSugarā by Maroon 5, and āeverything i wantedā by Billie Eilish.
- Listeners created approximately 225% more banana bread-themed playlists between April 17 and May 17. There are now more than 2,750 banana bread playlists on Spotify.
- People are channeling their inner plantitos and plantitas: Weāve seen a more than 430% increase in the creation of gardening-themed playlists on Spotify.
- Popular song picks in these playlists include: āGardening At Nightā by R.E.M, āAvant Gardenerā by Courtney Barnett, āMr. Blue Skyā by Electric Light Orchestra, and āSunflowerā by Post Malone and Swae Lee.

- On Spotify, users have created more than 940,000 cleaning playlists. Popular song choices include āUptown Funkā by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, āNo Scrubsā by TLC, āRoarā by Katy Perry, āToxicā by Britney Spears, āMr. Brightsideā by The Killers, and āWorkā by Drake and Rihanna.
- Spotifyās popular āCleaning Kitā playlist has seen about a 30% increase in streaming.
- People are trying to recreate those summer vibes: As the weather warms up in parts of the Northern Hemisphere, listeners are investing time in creating a soundtrack with the right summer vibes. Weāve seen an increase of about 245% in summer-themed playlists being created, globally.
