Dubbed as a “camera test,” the dimly-lit clip slowly rolls from the chest of this new armor-like Batsuit, to Pattinson’s head, which wore the familiar mask of the Gotham vigilante. Since this first look is mostly hidden in the shadows, we could only wish that we’d get a better video or image of Pattinson’s Batman soon.
Director Matt Reeves had earlier teased that this new film will focus more on Batman as the world’s greatest detective, the way the comics had always depicted him. It will also star Colin Farrell as The Penguin, ZoĆ« Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Paul Dano as The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson.
The movie is planned for release in June 2021. More information is yet to be revealed, but as with every excitedĀ Batman fan out there, we hope they don’t keep us in the shadows for too long.
