Four years since the release of the first film, we finally got a first glimpse on what to expect with Peninsula, the upcoming sequel to the successful Korean zombie film Train to Busan, with 2 new posters that dropped today!
Check them out below:
The first poster is set during the night and in what seems to be a port. A lone character, concealed by a shadow, so audience needs to guess and wait a little more to know who it is, stands with a league of zombies behind him/her.
The second poster, on the other hand, is set during the day, and with the city's tall buildings in the background. Hiding behind an abandoned bus are the upcoming film's leads, Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun, weapons in hand as they prepare to fight the zombies coming to get them.
Peninsula is said to take place 4 years after the events of the first film. Not much has been revealed about the film but we do know that the sequel will be featuring a new set of cast battling the zombies and the aftermath of what had happened in Train To Busan.
The upcoming film is still directed by Yeon Sang Ho, and stars Kang Don Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, Go Kyo Hwan, Kim Do Yoon, Lee Ye Won, and more. Filming for the film kicked off last year.
Peninsula is set to premiere in Korean cinemas in the summer. International release dates are yet to be announced.
