From bar bites, quick and filling lunch fare, hearty mains, to refreshing drinks, Toast Asian Kitchen & Tasting Room wants to bring you flavors of Asia with their own modern twists and turns. The restaurant recently opened at the ground floor of the new Pasig mall and is now open to the public for lunch, dinner, and late night noms.
Must-tries are their tender Yakitori Wagyu Cubes (P175) served with your choice of soy baste or teriyaki sauce and Tom Yum Meatballs (P249) of pork meatballs served with tom yum sauce and melted cheese for starters. For mains, the Twice Cooked Pork with Salted Egg Fried Rice (P475) is your comfort food bet. Lunch Bowls that fit the P250 budget are available daily from 10am to 2pm and come with your choice of salted egg fried rice, dirty fried rice, or plain rice — try the Tom Yum Meatballs Lunch Bowl (P225) if you enjoy it as an appetizer. Save space for dessert and have Tapioca and Mango Trifle (P108) layered with broas for something creamy and fruity, while chocoholics can order the Dark Chocolate Mousse (P128) which uses Batangas tablea and chocnut powder.
For drinks, Toast brings in expertise with mixologist Jayson Gray from Singapore, and he fills the bar with classic staples and signature cocktails for the thirsty to enjoy. Popular signature concoctions include the Jack Sparrow, Summer in the City, East Meets West, and the Mankari Sour, all of using imported liquor bases combined with playfully exotic mixers. The bar also carries both local staples and local craft beer, as well as imported bottles from international breweries.
