The wonderland that is the Bahamas comprises diverse ecosystems that house some of the most spectacular wildlife in the world. On each episode, BAHAMA BLUE explores the unique geographical features of the Bahamian Islands, including the thick tangle of mangrove roots, caves and blue holes, coral reefs, sand flats and imposing open water. Rarely seen species like the oceanic white tip shark, sperm whale and even the reclusive Blaineville’s beaked whale are found in the deep blue waters. The coral reefs are bursting with colour and bustling with life, but survival for creatures like the trumpet fish depends on their ability to go unnoticed. Above ground, bats, iguanas and other animals reside in the caves and the beautiful sand flats.
The series also looks at the roles that each animal plays in the intricate food web that connects each living thing. Captured in 4k cinematography, combined with intimate aerials, extraordinary macro photography and signature ‘tide lapses’, explore a world of fierce competition and captivating creatures.
