Starting to get cabin fever? Make productive use of your time by learning something new.

Staying at home has its perks, but we do have to admit, it can make some of us feel a little restless when we're left with no choice but to be stuck indoors for long periods. Cabin fever is a real thing, but hey, we also have the option to occupy our time doing something productive instead—like taking an online course that can help keep us entertained at the very least or give our current skill set and knowledge bank a boost at best. Below, some of the websites you can try to learn something new, all for FREE.

This award-winning website is the perfect platform if you just want to occupy your time exploring fun and "lighter" topics. You can explore courses under categories like Nature & Environment and History & Arts, but one of our favorites on the website is the free advanced courses they offer in language learning. Unlike other educational websites, you can access their courses without creating an account, though you do get the perks of earning badges and tracking your performance if you do. Besides free courses, you can also explore television and radio content that the website creates in partnership with BBC.

4. KhanAcademy.org

What's great with the app is it also champions personalized learning, an academic strategy wherein students are encouraged to learn at their own pace using materials that they are most compatible with. Khan Academy even caters to teachers as well by giving them tools to help assess the learning gaps of students.
