Bicol, located in the Southeastern part of Luzon has trademarked regional cookery with their perfected use of gata or coconut cream and sili to concoct fiery hot dishes. This September, all diners are invited to join Acacia’s Bicol food trip buffet and ala carte style. For P 1, 288 net per person, diners get to relish a taste of Bicolandia without leaving the metro. A myriad of savory and scrumptious favorites such as Bicol Express or Sinilihan in the Bikolano language (spicy Filipino stew made from pork slices, long chili peppers, coconut milk and shrimp paste), Ginataang Lambong ( Bamboo shoots in coconut milk), Laing (creamy and spicy dish of taro leaves and chili peppers cooked in coconut milk), Paella Bicolana (Rice dish made with brown rice and assorted seafood), and Beef Morcon (Filipino meat roll dish made with beef, vegetables and hardboiled egg) among others are available at Acaci every Friday night. The buffet spread is further enhanced with a variety of Western and Asian fare that are carefully curated to fit everyone’s taste.
