About the Event

If you are like a lot of other businesses, you depend on myriad social media platforms to engage with your customers.

Platforms like Facebook and Instagram are cost effective, wide-reaching and offer an instantaneous connection with followers. Most of the time, it is an effective strategy, but sometimes it is not. A post, a comment, a photo can go viral and not in a good way and before you know it, you have a social media crisis on your hands.

While many businesses and entrepreneurs develop social media campaigns with marketing and brand building as main objectives, not many craft a back-up social media crisis management plan thinking that it is not necessary or it is too expensive.

To help big and small businesses manage the social media landscape, Writer’s Block Philippines will be holding a seminar entitled, “Social Media Crisis: How to Manage, Ways to Avoid” on October 15, Saturday, 1pm-6pm at Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City.

The seminar will train participants on how to work within existing budgets to set up a social media crisis management team and help them plan how to prevent social media crisis situations and how to manage them with corporate reputations intact.

“Social Media Crisis: How to Manage, Ways to Avoid” brings together social media mavens Jason Cruz of McCann Business Lead Director for MRM/McCann Manila and a lecturer at the IIDM Certified Digital Marketer program and Dante Gagelonia, a communications consultant for Puzzled Owl a creative enterprise of writers and editors to share their insights and expertise.

If you are a social media strategist working in the field of communications and other related fields, have a job that relies heavily social media promotions and marketing or an entrepreneur who acts as a “one-person show” managing their small business will greatly benefit from this training.

This event is brought to you by Writer’s Block Philippines, an organization that has been working to help individuals and organizations become more effective communicators through public workshops and customized corporate trainings, and is supported by Freelancer.com, Fully Booked, Rappler.com, ClickTheCity.com, Sosro Fruit Tea, and Brownroots Creatives.

Social Media Crisis will be on October 15, 2016 (Saturday), 1PM to 6PM at Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For inquiries, please call or text +63917-397-9927 or email writersblock.ph@gmail.com. You can also check out our website: www.writersblockphilippines.com.
