Are you the next social enterprise game changer? Here’s how to get started!
Step 1 : Be Eligible
You must form a team of 1-4 people, ages 18-30 with at least half the team being Filipino citizens and at least 1 enrolled student (BS, AB program or undergraduate, MA, MS or PHD).
Step 2 : Register at http://tinyurl.com/BnGRegistrationLink
Step 3 : Submit a 3 page proposal to bethenextgkonomist@gkonomics.com on or before February 14, 2016.
Interested teams may apply or propose for the following investment categories:
1. The Next Gkonomist - A free for all category
Mentorship and Angel Investment of P100,000
2. The Haiyan Community Rehabilitation and Social Innovation Investment
Mentorship and Angel Investment of P100,000 for an enterprise working with a Haiyan-devastated community
3. The Consuelo Foundation Investment
Mentorship and Angel Investment of P100,000 for an enterprise working with the Calauan Community
Each proposal must meet the following requirements.
a. Must be a social business idea that is either in the prototype phase or has been pilot tested for a maximum of 2 years
b. Must not have received a collective amount of more than P1,000,000 in seed funding, grants and investments
c. Must work with an underprivileged community or sector in the Philippines
d. Teams must justify in the proposal how the social enterprise may substantially benefit from the investment
Additional requirement for the Haiyan Community Rehabilitaiton and Social Innovation Investment.
a. Teams must already be or planning to work with a Haiyan (Yolanda) devastated community
Additional requirement for the Consuelo Foundation Investment.
a. Teams must be willing to implement a substantial portion of their social business plan for the benefit of Calauan, Laguna.
