The live-action adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic series, Jupiter’s Legacy, is coming to Netflix on May 7, its teaser reveals.
The highly-anticipated series will bring to life the young superheroes who must continue the legacy of their parents– mankind’s first generation of superheroes. Watch the teaser below:
Mark Millar is the creator of Kick-Ass and Kingsman, both have been adapted into movie franchises. Millar wrote and Frank Quitely illustrated Jupiter’s Legacy, which was first published in 2013. Now, it is coming to Netflix, ready to be received by a wider range of audiences.
Here’s the official synopsis for the upcoming show:
“After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary public reputations ā and exacting personal standards. Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter’s Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty.”
Jupiter’s Legacy stars Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, and Matt Lanter, while Sang Kyu Kim serves as the showrunner.
