Looks like there's going to be another crazy Asian sensation soon — this time on Netflix!
Crazy Rich Asians' Ken Jeong (who played Goh Wye Mun, Peik Lin's father) and the film's director Jon M. Chu will reunite for Jeong’s hour-long Netflix comedy stand-up special. Chu is set to direct Jeong’s very first comedy special, which premieres globally on Netflix in 2019. This is also the first comedy special that Chu will be directing. Ken Jeong already took to his Instagram to share the news to his followers.
Tentatively titled Ken Jeong: First Date, the actor-comedian will reflect on how he went from being a doctor (yes, he is a licensed physician in California) to a comedy superstar. Jeong will also open up about how his wife’s battle with breast cancer led to him starring in one of the biggest comedy franchises of all time, The Hangover.

The Netflix special will start filming on September 15, 2018 at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California, where Jeong first got his start in comedy.
