'6 Underground' as an upcoming action film that reunites Deadpool 1 and 2 writers and executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick with its lead actor Ryan Reynolds, and is directed by Michael Bay. This project is said to be the most expensive Netflix movie to be produced, and it is also the first Netflix project for both Michael Bay and Ryan Reynolds.
They are now currently shooting '6 Underground' and in fact, it's what is keeping the Deadpool actor extremely busy and away from his liquor company — he has acquired a stake in Aviation Gin, a boutique gin producer founded in Portland, Oregon. '6 Underground'marks the first collaboration between Skydance Media and Netflix for an event level feature film. Skydance has a long-standing relationship with Netflix in television, producing “Grace and Frankie” and “Altered Carbon.” The ensemble cast of the upcoming action film includes: Corey Hawkins (BlacKkKlansman, 24: Legacy (TV) , Straight Outta Compton), Adria Arjona (Triple Frontier, True Detective (TV) , Pacific Rim Uprising), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Murder On The Orient Express, The Magnificent Seven), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse, upcoming Bohemian Rhapsody) Lior Raz (Fauda, Operation Finale), and Dave Franco (6 Balloons, Neighbors, Now You See Me). César Award winner Mélanie Laurent (Beginners, Inglorious Bastards) and Payman Maadi (The Night Of, A Separation, 13 Hours) are also joining the cast.
The film will be released worldwide on Netflix in 2019.
