Auli’i Cravalho, who gave us the voice of Moana, is set to star in the upcoming Netflix film All Together Now, premiering on Netflix this August 28. The film is based on the book Sorta Like a Rockstar by Matthew Quick (Silver Linings Playbook) and directed by Brett Haley (All the Bright Places, Hearts Beat Loud).

In this film, Auli’i Cravalho plays Amber Appleton, a gifted high school student wishing to attend Carnegie Mellon. An optimist despite all the challenges life brings her, she juggles between her drama club and her part-time job at a donut shop to help support her and her single mother. As she faces more obstacles going forward, Amber must learn to lean on her family and friends.
Starring alongside Auli’i Cravalho are Rhenzy Feliz, Judy Reyes, Taylor Richardson, C.S. Lee, Anthony Jacques Jr., and Gerald Isaac Waters. The film also comes from the producer of Love, Simon, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars.
